September 2, 1994 – The National Corvette Museum Opens

By Joe –

The National Corvette Museum opened to the public on this day in 1994 in Bowling Green, Kentucky, which has been home to Chevrolet Corvette production since 1981. The museum features a mesmerizing collection of America’s Sports Car and it doesn’t shy away from telling the story of a catastrophic sinkhole that swallowed eight of the museum’s prized cars.
