March 15, 1961 – Jaguar E-Type is Released

Upon its release on this day in 1961, Enzo Ferrari called the Jaguar E-Type, “The most beautiful car ever made.” When the car hit the market it earned high ranks for its gorgeous lines and excellent performance, but it also scored well in value. With a 150 mile per hour top speed, this grand tourer has long been favored by racers and pleasure motorists alike. The E-Type remained in production through 1975.
