January 27, 2022 – 40 millionth Ford F-Series truck for US sales leaves assembly line

On this day in 2022, the 40,000,000th F-Series for U.S. customers rolled off the line at Ford’s River Rouge plant in Dearborn, Michigan. Sales of the truck series launched on January 16, 1948 with the 1/2 ton Ford F-1. The lineup included a variety of trucks, up to the the F-8 with a 22,000 pound GVWR.
