1980 Triumph TR7 Convertible – $6,000
The photos aren’t great (please take at least one photo of the whole car!), but the car seems to be pretty solid. With a supposed 64K miles on the clock, this TR7 for sale has resisted rust and remains in decent shape. It’s got a host of new part, including exhaust, valve cover gaskets and a fuel pump. It will need new tires, but at least you can drive away with all of the original owners manuals. It could be yours for just $6,000 off of Craigslist in Boston.
1988 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible RS – $7,500
Looking for something to really help celebrate America’s 250th birthday? This Camaro just screams USA! USA! USA! It’s got a V8 connected to an automatic transmission, which is fine when you’re just cruising for babes, right? The seller doesn’t offer much other info but claims it’s a daily driver. Good enough for me! The first $7,500 takes it home. Find this 1988 Camaro for sale on Craigslist in Santa Clarita.
1981 Fiat Spider 2000 Convertible – $4,500
The owner says it isn’t running at the moment, but likely just needs a jump and I don’t doubt it based on the rest of the listing. I believe this would be fuel injected and the owner states it has no rust and has been recently fitted with a new top, interior, exhaust and alternator. Those parts alone are worth the price. Having driven both, this is a great alternative to an MG! Bring a jump box and head to Bellingham, WA where you’ll find this Fiat Spider for sale on Craigslist.
1983 Ford Mustang GT Convertible – $7,900
While the 5.0 is connected to an automatic transmission, the 65,000 miles (apparently) could make up for the lack of a third pedal. Not much is said about this, but finding a running and driving Fox Body Mustang for sale for under $8K that has a V8 seems pretty good these days. The seller claims it drives excellent and the power top operates in under 30 seconds (I think, there’s a spelling error). You can get this 1980s convertible off of Craigslist in Portland, OR.
1988 Chrysler LeBaron Convertible – $2,500
Cheapest but not leastest (is that a word? No) on this list is a ready to rock LeBaron. Chrysler recently announced it’s trying to get back in the game with a sub $30,000 vehicle. You can have this one for under three grand. The seller claims it is rust free, dent free and has a rip, crack and tear free interior. That said, the top does need some help. This is a non-turbo version but is otherwise well equipped with power windows, mirrors, tip and air conditioning. This Chrysler convertible is for sale on Craigslist in Missoula, Montana.
