One collector is clearing out the garage and selling a hoard of vehicles to the highest bidder. If you’re in the market for a rare ride, this may be the only place to find it. The range of vehicles is quite astonishing, ranging from beautiful classics to unique hot rods to modern performance cars. With 20 cars falling under the hammer, will you be the last bidder standing? This car auction held by Downs Auction is open for pre-bidding online, but in person and live online bidding will occur December 1st at 11 am. Those who wish to bid in person can do so at 1135 N. Hickory Ave. Meridian, Idaho 83642.
Here’s a peek at some of the cars, trucks and SUVs available to the highest bidder.
Among the most desirable Corvettes on the collector car market is the split window C2, a one year only design. This particular example is finished in Riverside Red and is powered by a 327 ci V8 that pumps out 300 horsepower. It’s connected to a four speed manual transmission, giving the lucky driver of this rare Corvette full control over the experience.
This driving legend is one of just 132 ever produced and has clocked only 64 miles since it first hit the streets. This car truly stings like a bee, finished in Yellow Jacket and powered by an 840 horsepower 6.2L supercharged HEMI V8, you’ll be flying down the street, if you choose to drive it! This is one of few factory cars that can actually get its front wheels off the ground. Included in the auction of the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon for sale is a collection of bolt on drag race parts, as well as a jack, impact gun and 5 point racing harness. This is one of the rarest muscle cars out there, and this one could be yours. Mopar or no car, right?
Signed by Carroll Shelby himself, this astonishing Candy Apple Red Shelby Mustang is ready to have its title signed over to a new owner. The heart of this rare beast is a 302 V8 that’s connected to a four speed transmission, making it not just beautiful to look at, but outstanding to drive. You’ll be the envy of every car show when you show up in a Shelby signed by the legendary Carroll Shelby.
Prefer the wind in your hair? This drop top Vette is ready to take you on the ride of your life. Rated 94 out of 100 by the National Corvette Restorers Society, this car had no expense spared during its refurbishment. This example features a 360 horsepower 327 ci V8 with rare fuel injection, all linked to a manual four speed transmission. Only 2,610 Corvettes left the factory with fuel injection in 1963. This is a chance to own a truly rare piece of automotive history.
With an annual production run of less than 2,000, the Ford GT represents the pinnacle of engineering at the Blue Oval in the early 2000s. Paying homage to the GT40s that dominated LeMans, this car features a 5.4L supercharged V8 and a 6-speed that makes driving it an unbeatable experience. It currently resides with just more than 9,000 miles on the odometer and is ready for the street or the track.
This full custom truck is insane! It features a one of a kind crew cab with four bucket seats, ensuring everyone is comfortable as the 7.3L Powerstroke engine and Allison transmission haul you (and whatever else you need) down the road. It all sits on an International truck chassis, ensuring strength and longevity. It’s ready to town, making this the perfect show and go rig for work or play.
If you’re familiar with the Tucker story, you know how rare the cars are, with only 50 being produced at the factory, plus the Tin Goose prototype. After decades hidden away, this Convertible Tucker reappeared to the astonishment of many historians and enthusiasts. It carries signed affidavits from witnesses who remember the car as far back as the 1960s, as well as witness testimony from those who worked on the car in 1948 and 1949. In addition to being the only convertible Tucker, this is certainly the last Tucker to be completed using factory parts. It’s complete with a proper Franklin Tucker engine and Cord sourced transmission.
Here’s a custom truck unlike anything else on the road. Built on a 1980s Chevy Malibu frame, under the hood sits a 5.3L LS engine. It’s fit with a Texas Speed Chopmonster cam, Holley Terminator engine management and PAC valve springs/keepers. It’s connected to a 4160e transmission and a limited slip dif. The incredible patina is protected by a clearcoat and complemented by Cadillac tail lights and a 10 inch chop top. Whether you call it a rat rod or a hot rod, one thing is certain, it’s awesome.
