The CEO of Lambo

Stefano Domenicali, the current CEO of Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A., was born on this day in 1965. Domenicali was born in Imola, home of Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari, (race track) basically destining him to a career in the auto world. As a child he would spend his weekends at the track helping out where he could.   After earning a degree in business administration in 1991 Domenicali landed a job with Ferrari’s fiscal administration division. The following year he became race director at Mugello. He moved up in Ferrari in 1995, becoming head of personnel in Ferrari’s sporting department, eventually resulting in a promotion to team manager in 1996. Just shy of a decade later he would become Director of the Ferrari Formula One team. He remained in the position until his resignation in April 2014. The following October he was hired by Audi and was suspected of leading the company’s charge in the 2016 Formula One season. However, on March 15 of this year he was appointed CEO of Lamborghini.   Photo by SchumiChamp at English Wikipedia, CC BY-SA 3.0.
