Jordan Grand Prix was a Formula One constructor that operated from 1991 until 2005. Founded by former Irish racer Edmund “Eddie” Jordan, who was born on this day in 1948, the team included Michael Schumacher, Heinz-Harald Frentzen, Damon Hill, Andrea de Cesaris, among others. The team never reached the top of the podium but did earn the bronze in the 1999 Constuctors’ Championships and Drivers’ Championships with Frentzen. In early 2005 the team was sold to Midland Group. It remained as Jordan for 2005, before being renamed as MF1 Racing for the 2006 season.
